RhinoVision - Week #14

The Maligned Bowl: The Destroyers got off to a fast start this season, but the Rhino never believed. At every turn I told you how this team was not the real deal. Well, they made it this far but the Rhino still isn't a believer.

SQUONK bolted quickly from the draft and missed the Rhino skewering his draft. It didn't take the Rhino long to come around to admitting his mistake. SQUONK took some risks, most notablely Bledsoe in the 2nd round. What was questionable at the time proved worthy early on, followed by a lull, but appears to be rising again. Kudos.

If history is any indicator we can stop right here. SQUONK holds a 3-1 margin on the Destroyers and that one loss was only by 4 points in week #6 last year. (Gotta love that Team Standings stat generator!) This game could go either way based on the schedule, but it's the playoffs so I'll stick with the favorite here in a close one...

A nearly even matchup with an opportunity for the Boats to avenge their week #7 drubbing by the Goblins. Both of these teams suffered significant running back injuries last week. That plays into this game, but could be more significant after this week. The impact is greater for the Goblins, but they catch a scheduling break this week when they will need James Stewart to step it up while visiting Arizona. This game is somewhat of a toss up, but the Rhino is going to jump back onto the Goblin train after picking their streak to end last week...

The Rhino says...Hemo Goblins win by +2.

The Chairs edged the Part out in week #11, but can they do it a second time this season? The Chairs should buy the Parts a beer for if it were not for the Parts Monday Night heroics, they wouldn't even be here. Well, the goodwill won't last long...

The Rhino says...Private's Parts win by +8.

THRAK hasn't beaten the Invaders since week #6 of the 2000 season, the year they won it all. Since that time, the Invaders have spanked THRAK by an average of 28 points. For THRAK to stop their three game slide would surely be a miracle. Does anyone besides THRAK not understand what's happening here?
