RhinoVision - Week #03

It's still early in the season, but it appears this isn't an FLC "on" year. Nor will it be this week as they are greatly out matched against the Beavers. 'Nough said.

The Rhino says...Fighting Lounge Chairs win by +14.

This isn't your father's SQUONK. I think it is fairly safe to say that this team is probably going to be better than their first two combined by a large margin. The Part's have a decent team, but aren't strong enough to keep pace with SQUONK if they continue to fire on all cylinders.

The Rhino says...SQUONK win by +12.

The once mighty THRAK had their winning streak snapped over the back of the Beavers last week. Been a very long time since they've felt that, but they better get used to it unless they start playing better. This is a fairly important game early in the season as it will give one of these teams the early divisional lead. But this is a no brainer until proven otherwise...

The Rhino says...Invaders win by +5.

The Destroyers might consider changing their name to the "Destroyed" if they don't get their shit together. And it doesn't get any easier this week. Because the Young Guns have the edge...Edgerrin that is...

The Rhino says...Young Guns win by +7.

A week ago I would have called this the old trash meets the new trash. But the Duo have found one of the ace cards in Payton Manning. The Riders have long been poked at by the Rhino and everyone else for many a weak season. But last year they fielded a respectable team and appear to be doing okay this season. I didn't think the Duo had a very good draft, but they put up a respectable number last week and are an even 1-1 at this time. The Duo proved something last week by knocking off the always respectable Elephants. At second glance the Duo might fair reasonably well this season if they can ride Mannings arm. These teams felt close a week ago, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe you should get together at mid-field and have a feel good hug. I've kicked the Riders so many times my foot hurts! But kicking a PUNK-ASS ROOKIE is always fun too! But this week it's not so easy... I had originally picked the Riders for this game a week ago. But that was before the scheduling change and a second glance at both of these teams. And I'm staying there because other than Manning, the Duo have nothing!

The Rhino says...Rough Riders win by +3.

The Elephants overlooked their ace card, Ahman Green and it cost them the game in week one. They ran well in week #2, but their defense killed them with some help from the supporting cast. This week the TigerSharks meet the winningest active team in the SFFL. The TigerSharks running game is suspect and they have been scrambling to shore it up. They have been playing the waiver wire like a guitar since the season started. But it hasn't helped them much, because it rarely does. Did they find an answer yet or will the QB and Pathon carry them again this week? They could, but NOT! The Elephants seem to win the games when they need to win. So I'll go with some running game over no running game. But this is still the best matchup of the week.
