RhinoVision - Week #12

The SQUONK office decided last week that to talk a lot of trash prior to their game with THRAK. Based on that outcome, I wouldn't expect to hear much from them this week. Because this week they have a critical game as they attempt to reach back up to the bottom playoff rung. Meanwhile back in Gotham, the Elephants also stumbled to the struggling but still potent Eager Beavers. The Elephant hold a tenuous 1/2 game lead over the Rough Riders. SQUONK has really struggled through the mid-section of the season, and hasn't really done a lot to substantially change that. I don't see why this week should be any different...

The Rhino says...Elephants win by +6.

They don't get much better than this one! The Beavers need this to keep SQUONK at bay and salvage a season wrought with unfortunate losses. The Rough Riders surely would like to catch the Elephants and grab a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The Beavers have done struggle off and on. This past week they pasted the Elephants by putting up some serious points. Generally if they play well they lose anyway by their opponent shitting out a perfect nugget. If there is a team that has been robbed blind this season, the Beavers are it. And the injury situation hasn't helped either, although they seemed to over come that this past week. The had a cooling off after being red hot and won this past week. Is this the start of another long streak? Possibly. This is a team that has been hard to gauge. They started off like their old loser-selves, and then found some serious attitude. This game could go either way and either outcome could have some serious ramifications. Looking at this one I want to go with the Beav's, but the schedule is telling me not too...

This one isn't worth talking about. It should be amusing out on the field this week:

Invaders: You suck!
Hackers: Well, you suck more!

It's like watching Britney and Christine have a cat fight! You're both bitches and nobody cares! Except the Hackers, they were right...the Invaders do suck more!

The Parts may be having a bad season, but they certainly are not out of it yet. They could slip onto the third rung or a least make others lives miserable. And this week they could bring misery upon the Guns. Do you really want to play a bad pissed off team this late in the year? Particularly when you've been struggling? I doubt it. The Parts are scary dangerous and can catch you napping if you're not careful. The Guns need to keep pace with THRAK as they need to do their part (or this week: the Parts) and get some help. Too soon to tell if they get any help, but they will help themselves as long as they don't get lax...

The Rhino says...Young Guns win by +2.

Bet you didn't know it, but this is the Rhino's 200th game! This game should be a snoozer as THRAK is on cruise control toward the playoffs while the Chairs battle to get in. THRAK is one win away from getting in the record books as they have rolled 4 straight coming into this game. The Chair's have tried to be good, but then they stumble and fall. THRAK's streak has to end sometime as they are not that good. This could be the week as we all know a streak is difficult to maintain. But the Rhino doesn't think the Chairs are good enough to get it done...
