Here's The Rhino's rundown of the week #4 action in the SFFL: * Game #1 THRAK (2-1) @ Millionaire Pond Scum (2-1) This one could get interesting. THRAK enters this game without their top receiver, Irving Fryar. THRAK is counting on a big game from QB Brett Farve to shred the Jacksonville defense. THRAK needs a solid performance from Ricky Watters as well a good day from Terrance Mathis or Michael Haynes. If SCAB pickup Darnay Scott (WR-CIN) can pickup at least a 6 point TD against Houston, THRAK might keep this close. The SCUM could benefit even more from Farve having a big day, especially if he goes to Robert Brooks (brilliant aquisition by the SCUM office) on a couple long balls. Couple that with a Farve interception (or two) and it's golden. The SCUM must start Scott Mitchell (QB-DET) this week, who will be crushed by the San Francisco defense. Expect Emmitt Smith to bounce back this week with a solid performance after last weeks weak showing in Minnesota ---> The Rhino Says: It's too much for Thrak to hope for, The Millionaire Pond Scum by +6. * Game #2 Hackers (0-3) @ Private's Parts (2-1) The Hackers went into this season depending heavily on the blossoming of QB Drew Bledsoe. The early fall frost apparently has cause this him to go into early hibernation, as in three outings he has yet to throw a TD pass. Thus, it is fortunate that the Hackers cannot start him this week. The Hackers have had a weak running game and inconsistent play from their receivers. Jim Everett (QB-STL) could have a big game against Chicago, much as Brett Farve did a couple of weeks ago. The Hackers desparately need their receivers to really step it up this week. Private's Parts was humbled badly in the season opener, but have since made a couple of roster moves to bolster their performance. It seems to have worked, as they have turned it a solid consistent performance the last two weeks. If Tony Martin (WR-SD) can fill the void that will be left by Brett Perriman (WR-DET) being smothered by San Fransisco, Private's Parts could again turn in another soild performance. ---> The Rhino Says: The Hackers will make history this week as they become the first team in SSFL history to go 0-4. Private Parts by -8. * Game #3 Rough Riders (0-3) @ Cal's Crew (2-1) I hope the Rough Riders enjoy their name, because they have certainly had a rough ride thus far. The Riders running game colapsed this past week, send- ing them down for the count. They need a balanced attack consisting of good games from Rashaan Salaam (RB-CHI) and Michael Westbrook (WR-WAS). Cal's Crew made several waiver moves last week to bolster their line up. The net result of this was minimal at best. In week #2 they rode to victory on the coat tails of Buffalo Bills 3rd quarter explosion. They won't have that chance this week, as the AFC-EAST is idle. This team is riding on the shoulders of Jerry Rice (WR-SF), who will have a big day against Detroit. ---> The Rhino Says: Rashaan Salaam is about to make the big time and the Rough Riders will be the beneficiary. Cal's Crew better find a mop to swab the deck. Rough Riders by +4 * Game #4 --->> GAME OF THE WEEK <<--- Invaders (2-1) @ Fighting Lounge Chairs (3-0) The Invaders have been happy passengers on the powerful arm of Steve Young (QB-SF). This week Young may take them to new heights, as he lays waste to the woeful Detroit Lions. If Young falters or goes down, so will the high flying Invaders. This week they need their running game to step up to fill the void if necessary. Errict Rhett (RB-TB) needs to have a big game against the Redskins. Unfortunately for the Invaders, Jerome Bettis (RB-STL) will not against a tough Chicago Bears run defense. Their receiving line up for this week does not look good. Herman Moore will have a tough time against the 49ers, and the remaining lineup will be SCAB players. The Fighting Lounge Chairs will have to start Troy Aikman (QB-DAL) in place of the idle Dan Marino (QB-MIA)...life is tough isn't it. Watch Aikman shred the Arizona Cardinals with at least a pair of long TD passes to Michael Irving. This will be much to the delight of the Lounge Chair's front office, because his name is listed on their roster. On the downside, FLC will watch in horror as Barry Sanders (RB-DET) is shutdown by the 49ers. Additionally, those bonus kicking points will come from the foot of a SCAB kicker that FLC will have to pick up for this week. ---> The Rhino Says: The Invaders need Young to do at least 3 TD damage and a stellar performance from their running game. If it is Troy Aikman that has the hot hand to Michael Irving, and Barry carves some yards and a TD or two from the 49ers defense... This is a tough call, but it look like the Fighting Lounge Chairs go to 4-0 in a -6 game. The Rhino.
