1995: The Inaugural Season
The inaugural season was chaotic fun, but more than anything it was a learning experience for all. Commissioner Jim was the only owner with prior fantasy football experience. Things started off well for some and not so well for others. In week 4 "The Rhino" appeared on the scene to point out the weak and worthless as well as to keep the high rollers in check. The inaugural SFFL was a single division, 8 team league. All teams played each other twice in a 14 game regular season with the top 4 teams advanced to the playoffs in week 15 (#3 at #2, #4 at #1). The winner of those games advanced to the first league championship to play for the Maximium Entropy Trophy. In week 17 the first Cross-Dressed Championship was played with the Millionaire Pond Scum advancing to face off against the Stallions of the AMFL. The upstart SFFL's Millionaire Pond Scum prevailed in the first and only cross league championship.
